Using cute tags

Once again, I went to some great online challenges for the inspiration for the two cards I want to share with you today.

I love to create but a little help with a challenge always helps!  For this first card, I used the CAS(e) this Sketch.  It is a simple design but so fun to use.
Most of the supplies are from Paper Smooches.  I love this cute notebook tag and it helps that Kim also offers stamps to add the lines so it looks like a piece of notebook paper.  I "cut out" the word thanks and then cut that word again in red and added it into the "cut out" space.  Makes for a fun look.
Here is the CAS(e) this Sketch.
For this card, I used the Cas-ology challenge to use purple and the Less Is More sketch.  I thought it was a fun idea to use just a splash of the feature color on my card.
I love this tag die cut by Reverse Confetti.  I comes with the embossed edge to it.  I had been playing around with these flower stamps from PaperTrey, Inc the other day and thought that paper would be perfect cut in the tag shape.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

Love and Roses

I want to share a fun card not just for Valentines Day but just to send some LOVE!
I used some great Printworks stamps to create my card, the roses and the word "LOVE".
I first created the background by sponging some color over a dot stencil.  The stencil is by Tim Holtz.  I just made sure that I didn't add color to the entire background.  The gold blotches are from a spray by Heidi Swapp.  This stuff is the best gold.  After I stamped the roses, I added some real soft color.

Colorful Dots

I love using stencils so I pulled out one of my new Tim Holtz ones for my card.
While I held the stencil on the white cardstock, I added color with three different Distress Stains.  When I had alot of color on the stencil, I spritzed the whole thing with water so that the ink would run and fill in the holes of the stencil.  I love the brightness of the Distress Stains and the great intense colors.
I used an adorable sentiment stamp from The Craft's Meow.  Unfortunately that company recently went out of business!!
I used the CAS(e) this sketch for the inspiration of my card.

It is about the DOTS

A fun challenge at CASology this week is to make a project using dots.
This turned out easy when I pulled out some of my paper tapes! I used a Hero Arts heart stamp and a PaperTrey, Inc. sentiment to finish my card.
I so love using this stuff.  They make for such a quick little accent and they are so easy to combine tapes and patterns.
Here is the CASology challenge.
I also thought this fit the Paper Issues "You are just my type" challenge.

A fun mix

I wanted to use the Seize the Sketch for this week so I pulled out some rather unexpected accents and put them together!
First off, I had been playing around with my Distress Stains and created this strip with the splashes of color.  The tops of the stains are round and I just hit the paper rather hard so that the ink splashed.  This was just sitting on my desk asking to be used and I could see it fitting the sketch.

That great striped paper is from Crate Paper, the word, "kisses" is a stamp from Paper Smooches, the star is from Heidi Swapp and I added some red Liquid Pearl dots.
Here is the Seize the Sketch sketch.

Pretty pearls

I wanted to use the CAS(e) this Sketch for this week and found some fun supplies to use
I pulled out my new dots die from My Favorite Things.  That made for a great backdrop for the cut out leaves that use some Lawn Fawn dies.  I made use of some recycled corrugated cardboard to cut my leaves from.
Since the flower had a pearl center, I decided to accent some of the cut out circles in the die with some Liquid Pearls.  The sentiment is from Verve stamps.
Here is the CAS(e) this sketch.

Black and Metallic Gold

A great reason to create, a neat color combination and an online challenge!!!
I have been having the worst time finding some creating time during the holidays, but I did manage to sit down and create the card I am sharing based on the Colour Q combination and the Addicted to CAS challenge to use die cuts.  I LOVE die cuts, so it was easy to pull out some and some were brand new to me making them even more fun to use.
I used a PaperTrey, Inc background die.  I cut it in black cardstock and then again in a really neat metallic gold cardstock and then put it together with the two colors.  The label is a PaperTrey, Inc die and the word, "thanks", is from Paper Smooches.  The card was finished off with some gold Liquid Pearls dots.
Here is the neat Colour Q combo.
And, here is the Addicted to CAS challenge
